This time around Mickey finds himself surrounded by older and wiser children. However, Mickey has a trick or two up his sleeve as well or so he thinks.

OIC Productions Releases "Darth Vader Home School" (Apr 24, 2008)

Darth Vader Home School is OIC Productions first animation video. "I've always wanted to create a stop motion animation video" says Co-Founder Mickey Grackin. And so he did. Utilizing a four inch tall Darth Vader action figure Mickey created this comedy short to try his hand at stop motion animation. Watch the video and judge for yourself whether or not OIC Productions should keep animation as a permanent part of its skills set.

This video was animated, narrated and edited by Mickey Grackin.

OIC Productions Releases "Turbo Hockey" (Dec 12, 2007)

One night OIC Productions Co-Founder Mickey Grackin saw that his two younger children were having a blast playing a game on their air hockey table. This was no ordinary game. They had all six pucks on the table at the same time! Of course Mickey grab his video camera seeing this was a great moment to capture on video. The video "Turbo Hockey" is the resulting video he made for the kids to enjoy and hopefully you will too.

This video was filmed, edited and produced by Mickey Grackin, starring Mickey's two youngest children.

Carolen Filming Complete (Oct 28, 2007)

OIC Productions has been commissioned by Carolen to produce a demonstration DVD for distribution by their agent to prospective clients. Over a two day time frame OIC Productions went to a number of locations in the Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach, DE area to film four different performances by Carolen. Locations included a local church, a retirement home, a real train car restaurant and an outdoor garden. The footage will be edited down into 3-5 minute promotional videos for the DVD.

Carolen is a multi-talented musical duo with years of experience playing the old time tunes from many different decades. For more than 20 years they have entertained audiences up and down the North East coast playing at retirement homes, numerous restaurants and countless private parties. Carol Wolek is the 'Carol' part of the duo playing on the accordion and Leonard Wolek is the 'len' part of the duo playing on the banjo. This couple has been playing music together almost as long as they have been husband and wife. With their shiny red accordion and stylish outfits to match both the music and location, these two are a real treat to see and hear. The accordion and banjo never sounded so good. But don't let the fact that they play a lot of old time tunes fool you. Carol holds her masters degree in music. In addition to her accomplished accordion playing, she has been teaching piano lessons to children of all ages as well as adults for many years. She has put her piano playing skills to work serving as the musician for many weddings including the wedding of OIC Productions Co-Founder Tom Dubill. These two are truly talented.

The Wedding of Danny & Holly (Aug 12, 2007)

OIC Productions crew members Mickey Grackin and Tom Dubill served once again as the videographer for some friends from church who were married on April 28th, 2007. This was the third wedding in OIC Productions history for which they served as the videographer. The ceremony and reception were captured on video and Mickey Grackin served as the editor for this production. The wedding video was completed and released on DVD in August.

"It is a lot of fun to film a wedding." says Mickey. "Tom and I work well together, coordinating shots before and even during the ceremony. It is fun to review the order of events for a wedding and then plan were the cameras should be at each moment during the ceremony. This most recent wedding had an unexpected change of events in the ceremony but both Tom and I responded quickly and were able to flow with it and capture the moment well."

OIC Productions Releases "Man Lives Alone" (Jul 3, 2007)

Once again OIC Productions Co-Founder Mickey Grackin was abandoned by his family and left alone to survive by himself for the week while they enjoyed themselves at the beach. Hmm, surviving alone. That sounds familiar. Kind of like 'Man vs. Wild' on the Discovery Channel. Mickey's children have recently discovered this show and so he decided to produce another surprise video and post it on the internet for the family to see while they were away. "This isn't my best work," says Mickey about 'Man Lives Alone', "but the children and my wife really enjoyed it and think it is very good." With a little inspiration from 'Man vs. Wild', a video camera and a clueless cat, Mickey filmed, edited and released 'Man Lives Alone' in less than twenty four hours.

This video was filmed by, edited by and starred Mickey Grackin.

OIC Productions Releases "Civil War Dad" (Jul 13, 2006)

Well, OIC Productions Co-Founder Mickey Grackin is at it again! While his family was away at the in-laws for a week vacation, Mickey got an idea. That's how it always starts. He thought it would be a treat for the kids if he created a video to say "Hi" to them and put it on the Intenet. Once the wheels were turning in his head, there was no stopping him. Mickey came up with "Civil War Dad" and released it to the world as well as to his family. Instead of creating a boring old video message, Mickey took some footage of a Civil War battle re-enactment he recently taped and added a little bit of Ken Burns and a little bit of "A Civil War Letter to Home" narration to create the "Civil War Dad" message to his family.

This video was filmed, narrated and edited by Mickey Grackin.

Well, OIC Productions is off and running for the New Year with its first comedy short of the year! OIC Productions has released "Bagels Are Not Free", a comedy short about what happens when the four children of OIC Productions Co-Founder, Mickey Grackin, come across a deserted park while walking through the woods. Mickey explains, "There is a long standing joke between my father and the kids concerning whether or not you need to pay for bagels. My father jokes with the kids and says that one of the Ten Commandments says 'Thou shall not steal but bagels are free!'"

This video was put together by Mickey and narrated by Mickey's two oldest children, Rebecca and Jonathan.

"The video was a big hit with all the family members who are well familiar with the bagel joke."

The Wedding of David & Nancy (Nov 19, 2005)

From time to time we all have friends who find their perfect mate and decide to enter into the covenant of marriage and spend the rest of their lives together. Well the staff at OIC Productions are no exception! OIC Productions is currently working with some friends, David & Nancy, to capture on video their joyful day of joining together before the Lord in marriage. OIC Productions will be on location at King of the Nations Christian Fellowship on November 19th, 2005 for the main event.

In true OIC Productions fashion, two cameramen will be on hand to make sure every precious moment is captured on video. It is the policy of OIC Productions to have at least two cameramen at each wedding for which we serve as the videographer.

OIC Productions Releases "Jonathan's Big Break" (Apr 29, 2005)

Mickey Grackin, Co-Founder of OIC Productions, has created and released a very short comedy video, fourteen seconds to be exact, based on an inspirational idea he had while on vacation in Orlando, FL with his wife and children.

"I was playing billiards with my oldest two children and I had an idea. I find that whenever inspiration hits you, you just have to film it or it will be lost." says Mickey Grackin.

In order not to spoil the surprise, we won't say anything else about "Jonathan's Big Break" and just simply direct you to the "Portfolio" section of the OIC Productions web site for viewing.

You will find "Jonathan's Big Break" under Short Features.

OIC Productions Releases "Vegas has You" (Mar 21, 2005)

OIC Productions staff attempts to stay abreast of news about Sony's Vegas and DVD Architect software by subscribing to various web sites specifically for Vegas and DVD Architect users. All OIC Productions films are edited in Vegas. Well, one of these web sites, VASST held a contest. The goal was to create a ten second video demonstrating the capabilities of Vegas. Mickey Grackin and Tom Dubill got together and filmed "Vegas has You" and sent it in. Unfortunately, "Vegas has You" didn't even come close to winning.

"It was worth it to send it in even though we didn't win. Our final position was about mid pack in a group of almost fifty submissions." says Mickey Grackin, Co-Founder of OIC Productions. "I didn't expect it to win. I just wanted to get something into the contest in order to keep us thinking and filming in order to hone and better our creativity and skills.

Tom Dubill served as Director of Photography again for this project and, for the first time since "Lenora's Birthday Celebration", appeared in an OIC Productions film.

Remeber, "Vegas has You" is only ten seconds long so don't blink!
